Fenyx Rose
My journey began in Los Angeles, CA, where I was born and raised. I started my musical career as a young girl pursuing a singing group with my sisters. Through the years of development I honed my skills as a performer, studio singer, arranger, and songwriter.
My eclectic musical influences range from Erykah Badu to Sheryl Crow, as I love all styles and genres of music, and have experience writing and performing in many different genres.
In 2018 I began pursuing my career as a solo artist, and have since then released 3 EP’s, and multiple singles. I’ve had some great successes in the sync licensing world, and have had my music featured in multiple TV shows including Love Is Blind, Temptation Island, and The Five Juanas. My song Strut was also featured in Walmart’s 2024 Back to School campaign.
My album What The Funk is out now on all platforms, and is up for consideration for Best Progressive R&B Album for the 2026 Grammy’s!
Grammy’s 2026 For Your Consideration
What The Funk
Best Progressive R&B Album
I released What The Funk in June of 2026, and I’m so excited that it has been accepted for your consideration for the 2026 Grammy’s! This project is inspired by 70’s Funk music, and has a modern twist on a classic sound. The music has a soulful vibe, with fun playful lyrics, and energetic vocals.
All the songs on the album were primarily written by myself, and some of the songs feature a few amazing cowriters of mine including Robert E Lewis, Adrian Levy (Mississippi The Truth), Christopher Cory Glenn (6Two Cory), Christopher Drayon Richardson, and Justin Tucker (Nova Daillest).
Producers on the project include: Wayne Devin O’Bannon of Black Irish Entertainment, John Reno Prentice, Jeremy Chase, and Quincy Holland.
Mixing and Mastering by Wayne Devin O’Bannon of Black Irish Entertainment.
Thank you for your consideration!
Cinnamon Ft 6Two Cory
Best R&B Song
Best R&B Collaboration or duo/Group Performance
Cinnamon was written by myself and my featured artist 6Two Cory, and produced by my good friend Jeremy Chase. Cinnamon is a fun, sexy song that you can’t help but dance to!
The idea to this song came to me one morning while I was still asleep in bed, and I quickly recorded the hook melodies and lyrics before the idea left my brain. I then took it to Jeremy, and told him to give me the best Prince vibes he had, and he delivered perfectly! Once we added 6Two’s verse in, the song fully came to life, and we released it with is accompanying music video as the second single on the album.
Arrogant Ft Mississippi The Truth
Best R&B Song
Best R&B Collaboration or duo/Group Performance
Arrogant was written by myself and my featured artist Mississippi the Truth.
Creating Arrogant was somewhat of a magical experience. The idea came to me and Devin O’bannon very quickly, and we finished the song from top to bottom in about an hour.
Once the original recording was completed we sent it to Mississippi to add his verse, and he put the cherry on top with sophisticated lyrics and attitude.
We loved this song so much that we made it the first single on my album What The Funk along with its accompanying music video.
